San Pedro Parks Wilderness

The San Pedro Parks Wilderness is a unique area on the west side of the Santa Fe National Forest. Made up of a series of large, open meadows, its 41,132 acres cover a high elevation plateau on the edge of the Jemez Mountains.

It was designated a Primitive Area in 1931 and was afforded full Wilderness status in 1964. The Continental Divide Trail runs through much of the Wilderness.
